Welcome to Eastern Shore! This spacious guest suite offers everything your family needs for a comfortable stay. Enjoy exclusive access to the main floor, featuring a full kitchen, bathroom, two bedrooms (one with air conditioning), a living room with air conditioning, and a dining area. Outside, relax on the private deck with your morning coffee or evening drinks while overlooking the peaceful backyard. Experience country living with the convenience of being close to Halifax and Dartmouth.
The space
The bright and spacious main level of our home is ideal for short-term stays. It includes an open-concept living room, dining area, and a newly renovated IKEA custom kitchen, where you can chat with your loved ones in the living room or dining area, and even watch TV while cooking. The living area features a three-seater recliner, a luxury sofa, and ample seating for your comfort. The large south-facing front window brings in plenty of sunlight, perfect for relaxing on the recliner. There is a 42-inch 4K TV with Netflix and WIFI. We use a dug well treated with a Culligan system, making the tap water drinkable.
Our dining area boasts an extra-large dining table with four seats and a bench, situated near a rear glass door that faces the large backyard and the woods. The back deck is furnished for your comfort, with additional chairs available for you to sit in the backyard and enjoy nature.
The primary bedroom features a queen-size Beautyrest medium-firm mattress, AC/heat pump, and plenty of storage. The second bedroom has a double bed with a Sealy firm mattress, side tables, and a dresser. The full bathroom is equipped with a bathtub and essential toiletries. Each room has ample storage space for your convenience.
Our home is close to all amenities, including groceries, gas stations, restaurants, beaches, and trails.
Please Note: Guests and hosts use the same entrance. The host lives in the basement, and the main floor is dedicated to guests. This is to avoid any confusion when booking or visiting.
Guest access
Guests have exclusive access to the living and dining areas, kitchen, and two bedrooms. You can step out onto the back deck through the patio doors to enjoy the tranquil backyard and local wildlife. Washer and dryer in the basement can be used with prior arrangement with the host. Some cupboards are reserved for the host's use and won't be accessed during your stay. Parking is available on the premises, including space for RVs and sporting items.
Other things to note
Pets are not allowed on the property, and smoking indoors is strictly prohibited. You may smoke outside but must dispose of cigarette butts properly. Please keep noise levels moderate to respect our neighbors and local wildlife. The base rate is for 2 guests only, after the first two guests, there is a small extra charge for each additional guest per night, up to a maximum of four guests.
While we do not offer breakfast, our kitchen is fully equipped with cookware and utensils for your cooking needs, and a grocery store is conveniently located about 400 meters away. Enjoy the spacious backyard, but please avoid disturbing wildlife or entering the surrounding woods. Some kitchen and bedroom cupboards are reserved for the host and will not be accessible during your stay, but sufficient storage space is available for your use..please feel free to reachout for any questions.
