In the hilly hinterland of the Algarve, amidst hundreds of olives, almond and cork trees, Casa Domingos appears immaculately in white. Once an ancient ruin, it is today a gorgeous design villa created by Pedro Domingos, the same architect as its sister house Casa Sabados. Both houses are nestled in a large nature reserve at the end of a dirt road; in absolute tranquillity without cars passing by.
The luxurious and comfortable villa is seamlessly integrated into its natural environment using large windows and doors. The white walls and concrete floors are modern and minimalist and create a neutral décor, while wood and hand-woven textiles add warmth. The 4 bedrooms are sophisticated in design and can accommodate up to 6 people, making the villa the perfect accommodation for a group of friends or families.
The kitchen has a large cooking island, while the outdoor courtyard is strategically positioned for an al-fresco family dinner. On the top floor, the living room connects to a huge roof terrace with stunning views of the surrounding nature. With various terraces and patios outside, you can find your preferred relaxing or dining spot at any time of the day! Lounging at the poolside or enjoying the sunset, the possibilities are endless.

Casa Domingos is a splendid design house situated on a 2500 m2 plot surrounded by countless olive and cork trees and wildflowers. Designed by a renowned architect in a sleek design, the villa is modern yet inviting.
The villa uses local handmade materials; the ceramics and textiles are from Casa Cubista, wood comes from northern Portugal, and the sinks, kitchen top, and swimming pool are made of local natural stone. Besides, environmentally friendly applications were applied, such as the use of solar energy to heat the water.

Layout Casa Domingos
- Casa Domingos is spread over two floors, whereas the outdoor spaces are built on several levels and connected by various staircases.
Ground floor
On the ground floor is the modern kitchen featuring a large cooking island with a natural stone worktop, a sink, an electric hob, a designer hood, and a SMEG vintage refrigerator.
Around the corner in the kitchen is the beautiful long wooden dining table with wooden chairs and stools.
From the kitchen, you have access to the courtyard.
First floor
- The staircase in the kitchen leads up to the first floor. Here is the charming living room with a comfortable sofa, two modern wicker chairs, and a colourful ottoman. The showpiece in this room is the black design fireplace designed in 1965 by the architects Alfonso Mila and Frederico Correa.
- The living room opens on one of the two roof terraces with stunning views.
- The four bedrooms breathe a serene atmosphere and are equipped with a double bed, ample cupboard space, and very particular windows opening onto the patios outside.
- The beds are made of durable pine wood and made with soft white sheets in organic cotton and hand-woven blankets.
- The two modern design bathrooms are equipped with beautiful sinks, a toilet, and a large tiled walk-in shower.
Outside
The attractive courtyard with some olive trees features a semi-enclosed swimming pool, an outdoor shower, and a wooden dining table with chairs.
A handful of patios and two roof terraces with seats offer stunning views and let you enjoy the sunset.
Location
Casa Domingos is located near the picturesque village of Santa Barbara de Nexe, with bars, a supermarket, a bakery, and restaurants. Many restaurants in the area serve exquisitely grilled fish, seafood or local meat at a very reasonable price.
The historic city of Faro and its airport are 20 minutes away.
