This coastal, 2-story contemporary canyon home sits on an acre of gated and landscaped grounds, located at the end of a private lane. Completely fenced and gated with graceful oak trees everywhere.
Exquisite furnishings (B&B Italia, Ligne Roset, Cappellini), amazing lighting, wonderful artwork (Larry McLaughlin, Maria Campoy), & designer bedding provide every guest a remarkable stay. Enjoy inside casual elegance combined with outside sunshine and activities for way more than just an ordinary vacation getaway.
The property backs Toro Regional Park with over 5,595 acres of protected hills and trails to explore. There is wonderful hiking and miles of mountain biking trails for a casual biker or the most avid mountain biking enthusiasts. Spectacular bay views can be found from several vantage points when there is no coastal fog (bring your own bikes). The lupine covered hillsides in springtime are an amazing natural wonder. Watching the sun rise or set over the hills is a fabulous experience.
Just imagine magical sunsets, quail, hawks, deer, wild turkeys, an occasional skunk or fox, and silence. It's all here, in abundance!
Fine linens, down comforters, thick spa towels. Comfortable seating areas in park-like gardens with numerous tables, adirondack rockers, umbrellas. Many patios and decks all over the property. Enjoy the firepit on the back deck. Sit on the upper stone patio in the late afternoon sun with views of the valley below. Enjoy the garden table in the front courtyard. Take a hike up the hill to the waiting bench for spectacular views.
A short drive puts you at any of several beaches, wine tasting rooms, the Aquarium, Point Lobos, Big Sur, Carmel, Steinbeck House, Cannery Row, agricultural fields and vineyards, old California missions, the Laguna Seca Raceway, a plethora of restaurants, and numerous other activities. Return to the house for dining on the deck, getting into the spa, and enjoying the sunset. A truly unique house in a very unique setting.
Hosts live on site in the Guest House you will pass on the way to the Main House and will be available on check-in and to offer any assistance or answer questions if needed during your stay. No amenities are shared between units.
