In the Wilderness Ranches neighborhood between Teton Village and Wilson, the only thing as expansive as the views of the Tetons from Teton Haven’s great room and its primary and junior suites is the feeling of seclusion the property offers. Despite its location—convenient to Jackson Hole Mountain Resort and the quaint community of Wilson—Teton Haven is sited and landscaped so that it offers the ultimate luxuries: privacy and seclusion. Yet a market, James beard-recognized cafe, and superb bottle shop are a 5-minute drive away; Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is a 10-minute drive. Downtown Jackson is about 20 minutes away.
The recently remodeled estate, which has four-bedrooms and a separate guesthouse, sits on more than six acres, and its mature landscaping includes a tiered pond and innumerable flower beds, which, in summer are abloom with color. Teton Haven is the perfect Jackson Hole vacation home for a large family or group of friends who want a gracious Western home and plenty of property to play on and also have the amenities and attractions of Jackson Hole and Grand Teton National Park within easy distance. Teton Haven feels like it’s in the middle of nowhere, but it’s in the center of everything Jackson Hole.
Teton Haven’s foyer opens into the 5,020-square-foot home’s main public space—a gracious great room, where cathedral ceilings soar over multiple sitting areas, a dining area, and a double-sided, stacked stone fireplace. Adjacent to but separated from the great room is a professional-grade kitchen with Wolf and Sub-Zero appliances, a walk-in pantry, and wet bar area. The great room opens onto two outdoor terraces; the first is on the north side of the house and the second on the south. Settle into the northern terrace to enjoy Teton views; the south terrace has an outdoor dining area. Between the kitchen and the great room is a custom bar area, where you (or one of Jackson’s talented mixologists) can craft any cocktail you want.
On the opposite side of the great room from the kitchen is a cozy study, an office, and the primary suite. The primary suite has a door that can be closed to keep it private from the rest of the home and includes a separate sitting area, custom his-and-hers vanities, a spa shower, a deep soaking tub, a gas fireplace, and walk-in closets. Enjoy a morning coffee in bed or an evening aperitif in front of the fireplace while looking out at the Tetons from both the bedroom and the sitting area.
Teton Haven’s second floor is dedicated to additional bedroom suites. Two of these—the junior suite and a bunk suite—are in the eastern wing of the home. An additional guest suite is in the western wing of the second floor; this suite sits above the primary suite and has similar Teton views; it also has a private balcony.
In the eastern wing of the second floor, the junior suite is expansive and, like the primary suite, features a sitting area with Teton views. The bedroom here also has Teton views, and overlooks the estate’s pond. Past the junior suite is a bunk suite with four custom twin-size bunks and sitting area with a television and game table.
South of the main home sits an updated log cabin. Interior logs have been whitewashed to brighten the space. This cabin has a gas fireplace, small kitchen, full bathroom, and bedroom with a king-size bed on the ground floor. A second-floor loft has two twin beds.
