Full refund if affected by a CoVid lockdown. Up to 6 people can stay yet it is cosy enough for a couple. Standard Price includes up to 4 people with 2 bedrooms only (one bedroom with a king bed and the other with 2 x Singles). $50/night extra for the 3rd bedroom with queenbed. This iconic beach house is set 300 m from the surf beach and cafes of Mudjimba. It is 2.5 kms from the Novotel Twin Waters Resort for conferences. It is very secure for pets and little people with 1.8m high fencing all around and a front tiled courtyard and back grassed area. There is a BBQ and a hammock in the courtyard and large 6 seater table for entertaining. Pets are allowed inside and all floors are tiled.
This fully air conditioned/heated house is most suitable for a couple (not overwhelming) and up to 6 people and has free wifi and a 50 inchTV with Netflix.
It is available when we aren't here. However if there is a lenght of time you would like to come for over a month that shows as not available on the calendar, please enquire as we may just scoot off in the van if it suits. The set out of the house and outside areas allows everyone plenty of space yet if only required for a couple, it feels just right - not overwhelming.
The house has bamboo weave ceilings and is light filled with large windows and flyscreens. The rooms have fans and airconditioning in all rooms.
This third bedroom is not suitable for young children as it has a separate entrance into it from the outside open back patio and so is best for adults who do not need to access the rest of the house at night and can use the second bathroom/laundry room off the open patio.
The main bathroom has a large walk in shower and there is a separate toilet room beside it. There is an outside garden hot shower for after beach activities.
The kitchen has a dishwasher, microwave and large fridg and all cutlery and crockery required. There are condiments and other staples that you are welcome to use.
There is a full laundry with all essentials in the second toilet vanity and open shower area. All linen is provided including towels (which are basic so bring glam towels if you wish).
Mudjimba is very dog friendly and has a dog off leash surf beach area 2km down as well as the Maroochy River off North Road 2.5 kms away - calm tidal water in unspoiled natural setting for swimming and paddle boarding and dog paddling.
There is off-street parking for 1 car (we park our second car on the foorpath outside). The garage area at this time is full of our private stuff. We can supply boogie boards and a dart board so please ask and we will leave them out.
The village has a unique laid back surf beach with a mix of surfers, wealthy people and not so wealthy - respectful and friendly - and dog mad. One of the last remaining relatively unspoiled areas of the Sunshine Coast. Great bike tracks.
Council buses pass close by (200m away is the stop) up to Coolum and Noosa and also south to Maroochydore. Sunshine Coast airport is only 3 kms away. Public transport from Brisbane is woeful but you can always catch a (private) shuttle from Brisbane airport or the Transit Centre in the CBD in Roma St
Pets are allowed inside and all areas are tiled and on furniture if covered. There is no extra charge for your pets and you are allowed up to 4 (including cats) ... please vacuum before you go if you have pets inside.
The cottage is one of 2 cottages at 18 Currawong St Mudjimba (one behind the other but quite separately fenced and private, and with separate access to each). The other smaller one bedroom cottage behind is Mudjimba Cottage.
Mudjimba has a Coles 2 kms away with all the other shops and services you would expect for convenience but the area where the cottage is close to the beach, has a covenience store, coffee shops, surf shop, Italian restaurant and the High Tide Bar (friendly locals hang out there Friday and Sunday afternoons). Mudjimba is really a bit of a local secret with state forests surrounding it and only infill development possible.
We expect our guests to have their pets' vaccinations and health checks up to date for their pets as they would if going into kennels.I don't need to see certificates so its on a trust basis to keep every pet safe.
Activities close by include the wonderful Australia Zoo, hiking up Mt Coolum, and the national parks around Noosa.
