- Please note that it is necessary to take a boat to Daufuskie Island. Costs vary depending on the service you choose, but on average you should plan on about $75-$85 per person roundtrip for both boat & ground transportation. (Marina parking fees may also apply.)

Concerned about the logistics of coming to the island, getting groceries, etc etc? No need to worry! You will receiving lots of good information and assistance from two of the owners who live on the island and will be available 24/7 for any problems. 1) Daufuskie Rental Group makes a good faith effort to describe island amenities, including restaurants and pools. However, please note that we are not responsible for the availability of amenities that we do not operate and that are beyond our control. Please contact the vendors directly for rates, days and hours of operation.

2) Your rental agreement contract's cancellation policy states that we are not responsible for events that are beyond our control, such as hurricanes. We strongly encourage our guests to purchase travel insurance, and especially recommend "cancel for any reason" policies. (These must be purchased shortly after your reservation is made.)

3) Please note that because the Melrose Resort is in transition, our Melrose guests may notice a certain level of deterioration in the resort-owned buildings but will also see that renovation efforts are now underway. Our vacation cottages are in well-maintained areas and continue to be extremely popular.

Situated on the ocean-front row of Daufuskie’s beautiful Avenue of Oaks, Beach Break guests will look directly on to the Atlantic Ocean beach from the screened front porch. The cottage has a wonderful location, and cottage guests will be just steps away from the pristine beach. And, in spite of being so conveniently located, the cottage offers a private and quiet setting.

The interior of the cottage is stunning! Guests will enjoy an open and spacious living/dining/kitchen area that is great for family get-togethers or quality time with a group of friends. The cottage includes flat screen smart TVs in the living room and both bedrooms, Blue Ray DVD player, cable TV service, ROKU, and free WIFI. Your fully-equipped kitchen with Corian counters will be perfect for preparing meals that can be enjoyed inside or out on the screened-in porch. Includes Keurig coffee maker and drip type, crock pot, baking sheets, microwave, toaster, blender.

This vacation home also comes with a charcoal grill for your own barbecues, beach chairs, and beach toys.

The Beach Break Cottage is beautifully decorated and has many unique touches including regional artwork and comfortable appointments throughout. The master bedroom includes both a king-size and a queen-sized bed, comfortable chairs for reading or watching your flat screen TV, and a private bathroom. The other bedroom has two queen-size beds, a private bathroom, comfortable chairs, and a flat-screen TV.
