Meander down the pathway to the road that leads to the sheltered beach or drop into the famous Rocky Bay Hall’s weekend café for your morning coffee and home-cooked pastries.
Although we do have to warn you - it will be challenging to leave this sanctuary. Sunrise lights the bay below in the mornings, the day will be spent reading books on the sunny deck listening to the birdsong, then in the evening - with a glass of local wine - you will watch the most magnificent sunsets imaginable. Looking across to Auckland city and the mainland, it is as though there is a golden necklace around the edge of the waters in-between.
The Rocky Bay part of Waiheke is an enclave of original Waihekeans with lots of bush and bird song and is well off the beaten track. From the hillside dress circle position, the house looks directly out over Omiha (Kauaroa) Bay with Koi Island in the middle, Whakanewha Bay to the left and Kauakarau Bay to the right. While the bays live up to their name of being ‘rocky’ when the tide is in, they provide some of the most beautiful, calm bathing on the entire island.
Everyone staying here will have a view second to none. The master bedroom comes complete with ensuite and sea views. The second bedroom also boasts ocean views while the third bedroom overlooks the lush garden.
Comfortably furnished, there are many spaces to gather and relax. Curl up on the window seat and take in the views or lie back on the wide, comfortable sofas for an afternoon siesta. The indoor dining table seats eight and there is also a full outdoor dinner seating as well as chairs for lounging in. Even washing dishes will never be a chore with the vista provided. We can guarantee the wide screen TV won’t get a look-in during your stay.
UnaOne provides off-street parking (there is a set of stairs down to the property) and is only a 10-minute drive from the car ferry and supermarket and 10 minutes to the wineries, restaurants and longest beach on Waiheke at Onetangi. And if you are a keen walker, nature lover or bird watcher, you are adjacent to the jewel in the crown - Whakanewha Regional Park - with many amazing walks to choose from.
While linen, including bath towels is included, please bring your own beach towels.

PLEASE NOTE: An exit cleaning fee of $150 applies to each stay. All linen and towels are supplied but please bring your own beach towels.
Minimum stays: Seven nights between mid-December and mid-January, two nights all other times and three nights for public holiday weekends. A security deposit of $500 is charged to your credit card seven days prior to the booking and refunded the week following your booking. A 3.5% credit card surcharge applies to card payments.
