Seahorse is a luxurious seaside summer house, in Peloponnese, near Palaia (also known as Ancient) Epidavros (150 km from Athens), an area rich in history from the ancient times to the present day and natural beauty that fills the heart with gratitude and inspires the soul and the mind. Perfect as a vacation destination, excellent for relaxation but also for summer activities, for families with children or groups of friends and opportunities for visits to special places of unique interest in the nearby area. It is available for self catering rental with accommodation for up to 10-12 people during the late spring and summer months. It has open space large sitting-lounging-dining-kitchen area, study, 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, 2WCs and a big playroom. The villa is right by the sea, spacious, bright and beautifully decorated, set in terraced colorful gardens, overlooking the Gulf of Epidavros, a feast of vibrant summer colors and Greek landscape you will instantly love! With its infinity swimming pool, doubles tennis court, sailing boats, kayaks, a “belvedere kiosk”, the beach right in front of it and the sincere care of its owners, apparent in every small detail, it offers the best introduction to the Greek summer you could ever dream of!
The villa is built on an inclined site of two acres and spreads on three levels connected by a central staircase, with a total of 530m2 living area open to guests.
The main level is open space with comfortable sitting area around a double-sided fireplace, large dining area, study, kitchen with an island unit and additional casual dining area, guest WC and a storage room by the kitchen. The main entrance is on this level, at the center of the house, under the covered porch. From the staircase opposite it the upper and lower floors can be reached. Two air condition units cool the area when needed and for additional comfort there is a ceiling fan in the study. On the spacious terraces, on three sides, partly shaded, all with panoramic ample sea view of scattered islands in the bluest transparent sea ever, the outdoor sitting-lounging and dining areas are to be found. Imagine relaxing or having your meals out here, enjoying this amazing scenery...The swimming pool is on this level too, adjacent to the house and access to it is through the study from the side deck area and from the veranda at the front porch.
On the upper level there are four bedrooms: one double with a fireplace and en-suite bathroom with jacuzzi, another double with en-suite WC, a third double room with elevated extra single bed and adjacent bathroom and the fourth bedroom with two single beds, one of them elevated and a sofa bed that can be used as a 3rd single bed and en-suite bathroom with shower. All upper floor bedrooms have air conditions and ceiling fans and access to them is through the lobby, around the staircase. All bedrooms (even bathrooms) have balcony glass doors and/or windows and spacious verandas offering the same uninterrupted, calming sea view. How would it feel falling asleep to the sound of the waves and waking up feeling sun kissed? There is also a back veranda, accessed from the lobby, with a mountain view and there you can enjoy the coolness of morning mountain breeze.
The fifth bedroom of the villa is situated on the lower level. It has a double bed and two single beds (one elevated, the other one slides out from underneath) and an en suite bathroom. It is equipped with air condition and has a garden view from its windows .The spacious playroom with pool table, table tennis and sitting area is also on this level, waiting to welcome smiling rivals enjoying their holiday! The other rooms of this level (storage etc) are not open to guests.
The interior decoration is inspired by the dominant surrounding element, the sea, a constant reminder of its endless gifts. Pebbles penetrate the antique marble floors and the bathrooms, shells scattered on curtains, lampshades and bowls, nautical themes on wall pictures and decoration items, yacht like wooden floors in the bedrooms, shades of blue…

The main outdoor sitting-lounging area is located at the front covered porch, with the shaded dining area right next to it and a second relaxing area is at the deck by the pool, all equipped with wooden furniture and soft cushions on which you will definitely spend some of your holiday time! Just sit, have a cool drink, relax, let your gaze linger at coves, scattered islands and fishing villages, inhale summer scents, chat, read, sunbathe, gather your thoughts, make future plans, enjoy yourself! Let all of your senses celebrate life!
Extra outdoor sitting areas can be found on the first floor bedroom balconies, at the rear veranda or at the “belvedere kiosk” hanging above the sea. Find your way to this last one, at the northern end of the estate, right after the vineyard and discover the perfect place for pre-dinner drinks or a night cup! An absolute must to watch the moon rising from behind the Methana peninsula, the summer starry sky or even the rising sun, if you are an early bird! An all-day spot really if you want extra privacy to dive into your thoughts and rediscover yourself in an inspiring serene environment that only positive thoughts will bring to surface!
Indulge yourself in the luxury of the infinity swimming pool (12.5m*5.5m, 3.2m deep, with a shallow area for pool games) adjacent to the house. It is surrounded by wooden deck partly shaded, with reclining armchairs and wooden benches and an outdoor shower for extra convenience and coolness. An inflated water volleyball net and water polo goal are available for pool games that teenagers and grown-ups will love. For the younger ones extra ‘water surpises’ to be discovered!
Challenge your friends for a set of tennis at the full size doubles tennis court in front of the villa! Situated at a lower level it can be reached through the garden pathways or a staircase (rackets and balls available). Still got energy to burn? An adjustable basketball hoop and archery facilities are also there (Olympic and children’s bows available).
Just 15 meters from the main gate is a pebble and coarse sand beach with crystal clear water and rich in sea life you will adore! You can swim, snorkel and enjoy the sea floor, watch schools of fish, sea urchins, starfish and, if lucky, sea turtles and seahorses or even dolphins swimming by at a distance! Last year’s guests had the rare opportunity of watching a seal, just underneath the belvedere…. Collect seashells to take back home or just relax and soak up all the sunshine (beach recliners and sun umbrellas available). A Seahorse tradition is to swim in the moonbeam during a full moon, a chance for you to create a lifetime memory!
Nearby is another pebble beach that can be reached by the provincial road, half a kilometer away, 15 minutes walk or 3 minutes by car. If you enjoy swimming, snorkeling, rowing or sailing, you can easily visit both beaches within half or maybe an hour, depending on your skills.
For more action and summer fun the villa is equipped with three sailing boats (two Lasers, Olympic class sailing boats and a Walker bay 310) with easy to launch trailers and assistance by the owner if required (free of charge). The last one, equipped with oars too, can also be used for rowing and general fun. And if the above is too much for you, just enjoy the tranquility of the sea in our two one-person kayaks!Row along the coastline and reach nearby beaches, meditate while floating at a distance away from everybody else, dive into your thoughts in the calmer scenery ever, be inspired in an environment where everything seems possible! For the extra-fit ones there are also bicycles available, in two sizes, but keep in mind that the roads leading to the villa are steep.

No need to say that the kitchen is fully equipped with all the usual utensils (pots, cutlery, crockery, oven, microwave, dishwasher etc.), bed–bath linen and beach towels are also available, there is Satellite TV – Dvd player, Radio – CD player (bluetooth, usb), Wi-fi and Internet connection.
