The Lake House on scenic Kayuta Lake is everything you need for the perfect vacation.
Relaxation at the Lake House is the rule, not the exception. Gather around the lakefront fire pit in the evenings or cozy up to the indoor fireplace in colder weather.
The Lakehouse is an all season property and is the perfect setting for both Summer and Winter activities. The Lakehouse has access to snow mobile trails and we also provide snowshoes and snow skis for some fun in the snow. The lake house has radiant heat on every floor to ensure your stay is comfortable during the colder months. During the warmer weather enjoy the dock for swimming, dinner on the deck, smores by the outdoor firepit and so much more.
Inside the Lake House, you will find all the modern amenities. The heart of the home which is the kitchen is fully equipped with all your cooking and eating needs. If you need to work from home, the Lakehouse has a large and comfortable office space with wifi. The open layout with cathedral ceilings and wall of windows overlooking the lake creates an enjoyable experience. High end furnishings throughout to make your stay comfortable.
The cozy window seat overlooking the woods creates a space for relaxation, meditation and/or reading your favorite book. At of the end of a fun day, enjoy a great night's sleep on quality beds and mattresses.
On the grounds, guests will enjoy the large yard which is great for lawn games and deck with grill and seating that overlook the lake. An additional cabin in the woods with a large wrap around porch overlooking the lake is perfect for an evening board game and glass of your favorite beverage.
Plenty of room to enjoy the lake with 175 feet of private lakefront, and 32+ feet of dock to relax and keep your boat. For those who enjoy fishing, in Kayuta Lake you will find panfish, bullhead, trout, smallmouth bass, pickerel, brown trout and lake trout.
When you hear the train's whistle, be sure to walk out to the nearby railroad tracks to waive to those riding the Adirondack Scenic Railroad. With prior planning, the train will stop and allow you to hop on for a scenic day trip to Old Forge. No worries of the train keeping you awake at night as it only passes a couple days a week, and only one trip north and one south during the day
The Lakehouse is located in the foothills of the Adirondacks so if you prefer to drive to Old Forge is would just be a 35 minute ride.
