Take it easy at this unique and tranquil cottage getaway just 20 minutes from downtown Corvallis. House is just steps away from your own private lake. Watch deer, turkeys, geese, and more through the large windows from inside the house or outside while seated on the deck.
Large manicured lawns and a variety of botanical trees and flowers make this a perfect place to get away and recharge. Dedicated office space and high speed internet offer a peaceful remote work or creative writing environment
There are two bedrooms both with Queen sized beds. One larger bathroom with a shower is attached to the master bedroom and a smaller bathroom with a shower/tub combo is located off the laundry room.
The home is older and quirky and eccentric in vintage style and decor and several generations of family have lived and grown up on this property and house. It feels a lot like visiting grandma’s country cottage with a breath taking view of the lake and forest. Prior to being listed on VRBO, it served as the central place for family reunions, weddings, and holiday gatherings and is still used as such between bookings.
There is high speed internet, but no cable TV. A large flat screen TV and DVD player is perfect for watching a movie and ample DVDs from all genres are available for guests. One look out the back windows during the day time and you will realize why no one has ever cared about updating the house with all the latest tech gadgets.
The property is located at the very end of a dead end road out in the country. The neighborhood is extremely safe and tight knit. The road to the property and house is well graveled and easy to travel on with small cars even in the wettest of weather.
A covered carport just outside the front door is available to use for guests who have smaller vehicles. Larger vehicles are best suited to parking in front but outside the carport.
