After a day of exploring the historic city of Kitchener, relax in this modern and contemporary oasis. Prepare beautiful meals for the entire family in the fully-stocked kitchen. The dining room and living room areas provide enough space for even the entire family, and four bedrooms mean that no one has to sleep on the floor. If you’re working remotely, no worries! Extra high-speed internet and a dedicated workspace will give you everything needed for a successful workday.
This listing is located in a safe neighborhood, only two blocks from the Iron Horse Trail, a two-minute drive to the light-rail stop, and a ten-minute drive from the University of Waterloo. The fenced-in backyard has a lovely Walnut tree, an extra-long picnic table, and outdoor chairs. You will find the kitchen, living room, dining room, two bedrooms, and a full bath on the main floor. With a second family room, a full bath, a laundry room, and a mini-kitchen, you can convert the basement into a second apartment, perfect for multiple families vacationing together.
The entire home is yours to enjoy for the length of your stay. We use electronic locks to give you access to the main door, but we do have 2 side doors you are also welcome to use. Just make sure that you lock them anytime you leave the house.
We're always close-by. While we don't live on site, we are accessible and will respond to any requests as quickly as we can.
There are a lot of features in the neighbourhood to enjoy. We even have a guidebook that will help you discover some of them. My personal favorites in the area are the City Cafe (the fresh baked croissants are amazing!!), Iron Horse Trail, Victoria Park and TWB Brewing Company.
Close to all the major highways, shopping centres and grocery stores, you'll have access to everything you need within a short drive.
We are a quick jot down from a local LRT stop. Taking the train downtown is quick and easy, and just a couple of blocks at Ottawa Street & Mill Street. There are also a number of busses available in the area, just visit the Grand River Transit website (www.grt.ca) for details.
If you're looking to get somewhere a little quicker, the Waterloo Region does allow for Uber to operate locally, or you can call a traditional cab from Waterloo Taxi.
Please remember that you're staying in a house, not a hotel. Please treat the space with respect. If any problems arise, we will do our best to take action ASAP, but there is no one living on-site 24/7.
1. No shoes to be worn inside the home.
2. Quiet hours start at 10pm on week nights and 11pm on weekends.
3. No smoking on the property, including outside. If you must smoke, please find another location to smoke. Any evidence of smoking will result in a $1000 fine.
4. Pets must be registered. We charge a nightly pet fee of $15/night/pet. We will request you send money through Airbnb after you confirm your reservation. Any unregistered pet will be charged a flat rate of $350 per month.
5. No parties and/or large social gatherings. No events, birthdays, bachelor or bachelorette stays There is a $250.00 surcharge charged to groups that are deceitful about the use of the house. Please be transparent and honest. Guests partying will be asked to vacate the property immediately without refund.
6. We do a towel count and bed sheet count prior to you checking in. If at the end of the stay there are missing towels or sheets guest will be charged accordingly. Each missing towel is $25 and each missing sheet is $35.
7. Sheets and/or towels that are stained due to your stay will also be charged. We understand there is normal wear and tear, but guest should do their utmost to keep towels and sheets the way they found them. Each stained towel will be a $25 charge. Each stained sheet is $35.
8. Check-in and Check-out times are MANDATORY unless scheduled and confirmed at a minimum of 24 hours in advance and if we are able to accommodate without double booking. $50.00/hour penalty will be applied if you fail to check-out by 10am or by the agreed upon check-out time. My cleaners are on tight schedules
9. A surcharge of $100.00 per undeclared guest per night will be applied for unapproved guests. Please be honest. We must coordinate cleaners and inventory based on the number of guests that occupy the unit.
10. Please leave all shoes at the front door and do not wear them throughout the house.
11. If any personal property is damaged/lost/stolen or if the cleaning company requires additional time to clean up, you will be charged accordingly.
12. Lock all windows and doors if your are not home.
13. Turn off all lights when not in use.
14. If there is any maintenance issue, please contact me directly so I can send someone to fix it.
15. Garbage is not to be left inside the unit upon check-out. Please dispose of all garbage inside the unit to the outdoor bins.
16. Garbage, recycling, and organic wastes is to be disposed of properly and up to city regulation. $50.00 surcharge charged to guest who fail to follow proper waste protocol. My cleaners will have to dedicate time to re-sort the garbage correctly.
17. No Moving / Rearranging of the furniture.
18. No unplugging of the electronics like TVs, cable boxes, lamps, Roku sticks, etc.
