Log cabin by the salmon river (river Torne). River boat available, motor can be rented from the owner. Sauna by the river and a campfire site will crown your holiday.
River Torne 40 m, Sweden on the opposite side of the river, deep and natural beach, flowing water, suitable only for people capable of swimming.
Log cabin, built in 2001. Living room/kitchen with sofa bed, bedroom with double bed (so-called Yankee bed) and spreadable sofa, sauna, dressing room, separate WC and covered terrace.
In connection with the riverside sauna, room with spreadable sofa. Electric light and heating in the sauna building. Water for the sauna can be pumped from the cabin by using a hose. There is a tank for heating up the water in connection with the sauna stove.
Possibility for electric car charging. Power plug in the cottage. The customer brings fuel to the rented outboard motor (four-stroke).
The cabin is equipped with karaoke equipment and air source heat pump, which also cools in the summer.
Varrella virran is an ideal destination for fishermen fishing on the river Torne.
The river flows rather slowly (stream pool) nearby the cabin. Suits well for boating and trolling. The nearest rapid is Korpikoski, distance 8 km.

Small game hunting area on state owned lands, see destination 2606 Pello. The closest point of the area is within 20 km. Short distance to the hunting areas located in Sweden (including grouse hunting).
Aavasaksa hill (great views) and ski resort 36 km. There are ski lift and skiing network in Aavasaksa. Svanstein Ski, Sweden (Pullinki) 50 km, ski slopes, lifts and ski trails.
Note! The ski resort went bankrupt in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and it is closed for now.
In winter, there is usually an ice road from Turtola to Svanstein, Sweden, which shortens the distance to a few kilometers.
